Raechel Badalamenti

Raechel M. Badalamenti graduated from Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township before attending Oakland University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with honors.  In 2004, she received a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University.  She graduated law school cum laude with added honors from the moot court program where she placed first in the Law Day Competition, as judged by Justices of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Ms. Badalamenti joined the firm as a law clerk in 2002 and was offered an associate attorney position on graduation.  After taking on a leading role in the area of corporate and municipal litigation, she was offered partnership in 2011.  With her acceptance the name expanded to Kirk, Huth, Lange & Badalamenti, PLC as it is known today.  Ms. Badalamenti’s practice focus continues to be litigation. 

Her practice areas focus on Corporate Law and Business Litigation; Municipal Law and Litigation including Land Use Disputes and Civil Rights Defense; Employment Litigation Defense and Employer Contract Enforcement Matters; and General Civil Litigation including Auto Negligence, Premises Liability, Libel/Slander and Fraud Cases.  Ms. Badalamenti also specializes in a range of business services for start-up companies or large existing companies which are designed to avoid the potential for lawsuits in the future. This includes the creation of detailed business plans, partnership contracts, customer proposals, employment agreements and organizing documents. Her experience also includes Sale or Purchase of Businesses, Stock or Assets; Buy/Sell transactions; Collections; Commercial Lease preparation and enforcement; Non-Compete plans and enforcement; and Membership and Shareholder agreements.

Ms. Badalamenti practices in both Michigan’s state and federal court systems with admission to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Ohio.  As a matter of course, she handles the pre-trial, trial and appellate stages of all types of her civil litigation matters.  She has also pursued and opposed arbitration proceedings.  In the employment arena she also defends claims initiated before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or Department of Civil Rights.

Ms. Badalamenti is a Trustee of the Macomb County Bar Association, a Member of the Macomb County Young Lawyers Section and a Fellow of the American Bar Association.  She has been honored for the last 6 years by Super Lawyers which also recognizes her as one of Michigan’s Top Women Attorneys.   In 2019, she was honored as one of America’s Top 100 Civil Defense Litigators.   In 2018, she was recognized as a Top Civil Litigator by CorpAmerica.  Since 2015, she has received the 10 Best Award from the American Institute.
